Draft. Needs owner approval before launch.
Chartapir is built by a one-person company. This page says what we collect and why. Where we have not decided something yet, it says that instead of guessing.
This website sets no analytics cookies
There is no tracking script on this site, no advertising pixel, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Two numbers tell us what we need before launch: how many people arrived, which our host records, and how many joined the waitlist, which is the length of the list.
That will change when there is a product to instrument. When it does, this page changes first.
The waitlist
We store one thing you give us, and three we observe:
- Your email address. Used once, to tell you when Chartapir opens on the App Store.
- The page that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link. Used to know which posts worked.
Nothing else. There is no name field, no company field, and no “how big is your team” — the table the address lands in has exactly one column you fill in. To be removed, email [email protected] and the row is deleted outright.
Who else touches a waitlist address
Two companies, and we can name them because this part is already running rather than planned:
- Supabase hosts the database the address is stored in.
- Vercel hosts this website, so the form submission passes through it on its way to that database.
Nobody else. No email marketing platform, no CRM, no analytics service. When that changes — and it will, because a backup copy of the list is planned and would put it on a third — this page changes in the same release, not afterwards.
When the app ships
Chartapir will process the spreadsheets you upload for one purpose: making your video. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train models.
Some processing happens on services we use rather than on our own machines — cloud storage and rendering, text-to-speech for narration, and a language model that writes the script. Where a provider is involved, we send the minimum the task needs.
1. Retention. How long uploads, videos and account records are kept. This must match what the pipeline actually deletes, not what sounds reasonable.
2. The provider list for the app. Named sub-processors for the pipeline, once that set is final. The two that touch a waitlist address are named above, because that part ships today.
3. Legal basis and controller details for visitors in the EU and UK, plus how to exercise access and erasure rights.
Deleting everything
You can delete your account and its contents from inside the app. See Delete your account.
